The Origins of Nervous Rocket

Nervous Rocket was born from the idea that there are so many great books out there who vanished from public view, are out of print or deserve a push of love. After all, looking back at fantasy and science fiction, so many great ideas have been turned into great books, and coined how we see our most treasured genres and sub-genres. Soon, we started branching out to mystery and selected non-fiction as well, and eventually ended up publishing some new writers as well.

Submissions

Currently, we’re closed for submissions again. Sorry, folks! There have been just too many, and with Nervous Rocket still being a side hustle, we need to focus on getting things done for now. As soon as we’re open again, we’ll send out an e-mail. Make sure you’re subscribed to the newsletter of Dragons & Spaceships. It’s not our own newsletter, but they’re doing a great job on social media, their newsletter is fantastic and we more or less hitched a ride until we have more time we can dedicate to marketing. So, if there are any news on new submissions, they’ll announce it on their newsletter. We might be looking for both novels and short stories with a focus on action, surprise twists and emotional impact. While we accept only agented submissions for full-length novels, we accepted short stories by non-agented writers as well in the past. Which is not a promise for the future, though, honestly, we just can’t look that far ahead.
